- Developing with New Parallel Computing Technologies by Jeff Barnes, Architect | Microsoft Developer & Platform Evangelism. Windows Server 2008 R2 and the 64-bit versions of Windows 7 support more than 64 Logical Processors (LP) on a single computer. The operating system includes enhanced support of Non-Uniform Memory Access (NUMA) computer architectures along with new User-Mode Thread Scheduling technology. Developers will appreciate new Parallel Computing capabilities now enabled with libraries such as the C++ Concurrency Runtime and .NET Parallel Extensions and complementary tools support with Visual Studio 2010.
- Startup Pitch — Jacob and Mike Russo will be presenting Imaging101, which is not a startup, but they are looking to re-architect their successfull client/server solution (of the last ten years) into a software-as-a-service model and are looking for investment and business development partners. Imaging101 helps companies become as paper-less as possible to save tons of time and money. Imaging101 has a proven track record in helping companies improve their business processes by transforming paper documents and files into secure electronic images.
