The operating system includes enhanced support of Non-Uniform Memory Access (NUMA) computer architectures along with new User-Mode Thread Scheduling technology. Developers will appreciate new Parallel Computing capabilities now enabled with libraries such as the C++ Concurrency Runtime and .NET Parallel Extensions and complementary tools support with Visual Studio 2010.
